New Beginnings is a project which operates each week and is designed to help people in our community who could tick one or more of the following statements:
· Fed up, frustrated and feeling housebound?
· Like to get out for a chat and join in with others?
· Like to know how to use a screwdriver or saw proficiently?
· Feel intimidated by computers and would like to learn more?
· Fancy a new hobby, and maybe a new beginning to your life?
If this sounds interesting then read on...
We currently hold sessions on a variety of things:
Carpentry - including making new items and repairing or refurbishing existing items. This takes place on Wednesdays in the workshop at Oaks Farm.
Music - explore all things musical from trying out various instruments, creating music and learning composition. Maybe you used to play an instrument but have got out of the habit of playing it now - why not start again! Music workshops take place in the church building at Oaks Farm on Wednesday afternoons from 2pm onwards.
Craft Club - a wide range of different crafts are practised in the Coffee Shop in the Village Courtyard every Tuesday from 2pm until 3.30pm. Please contact Helen on 01430 860997 or just turn up.
Art Club - Every fortnight in the Coffee Shop in The Village Courtyard on Thursdays from 2pm to 4pm. Please contact Val on 01430 861153 or just turn up.
All of these activities are open to you whether you are an expert or a beginner. There is a small charge for most activities to cover rent and refreshments.
If you would like to be involved in another activity not listed above, including if you wish to volunteer to help, please send an email with your contact details to firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone us on 0752 808 2339.
